Next, in my blog series, I finally visit all of the new features and functionality that we can expect to see in Release Wave 1 of 2023 for Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. Today I will be discussing the updates in Power Pages.
New features coming to Power Pages focus primarily on sales automation and sales engagement so a lot of the features below specifically to functionality that increases methods for engagement or further automates areas of the sales process.
The Dynamics 365 Release Wave 1 for 2023 outlines all the new features that will be released between March 2023 through August 2023. You can either browse the release plan online or download the document as a PDF file. The PDF file also includes information about Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Power Virtual Agents, Microsoft Dataverse, Microsoft Power Platform governance and administration, and data integration.
The Microsoft Power Platform features coming in the 2023 release wave 1 have been summarized in a separate release plan as well as a downloadable PDF
Use cloud flows with Power Pages sites
Using an API, it will be possible to use Power Automate flows from Power Pages to connect external apps or automate processes. A new Microsoft connector will be available in Power Automate, which can be triggered on demand from events in Power Pages and support two-way sync exchange.

Implement data loss prevention policies
Data policies configured in the Power Platform admin centre will allow authentication to be enforced for all users to prevent website makers from unintentionally exposing organisational data to anonymous users.

Use Bootstrap version 5 in Power Pages
This release will enable Power Pages websites to be created using the latest CSS v5 of the commonly used Bootstrap framework. The update will include a migration tool to convert existing sites to Bootstrap v5 and apply template customisations.
Bootstrap is a commonly used Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) framework, providing a powerful and extensible front-end toolkit for developers. Power Pages currently support Bootstrap version 3. With this release, we'll provide the support for Bootstrap version 5 to apply to your customizations as well as for the site templates shipped with Power Pages.
Power Pages will continue to support both version 3 and version 5 Bootstrap libraries for a limited time.
Bootstrap version 5 support with Power Pages will provide the following advantages:
Save time converting your existing websites to Bootstrap version 5 using a migration tool that will convert CSS code and provide recommendations for breaking changes.
Use the latest CSS controls offered by Bootstrap.
Receive new security updates and fixes from Bootstrap.
Hope you all enjoyed this post on the Power Pages. I will continue this series with some additional content specifically related to Power Apps and how they work with other aspects of the Power Platform. Take Care, Speak Soon!
